Many people try product after product, hoping to achieve radiant, uniform and healthy-looking skin.  If this sounds like you, read on as we offer 5 important Tips  for brighter, more even skin.

  1. Use Sunscreen Daily

Sunscreen protects the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UVA/UVB) rays which can cause hyperpigmentation, photo damage, and a blotchy, uneven tone.  Wearing sunscreen daily reduces the risk of skin damage and premature aging.

Revercel offers many highly effective sun protectors.  Consider AM Daily Moisturizer SPF 45+ Triple Duty Plus SPF 35+, and/or Sheer Physical Sunscreen SPF 50.  All protect the skin against UVA & UVB rays and are additionally formulated with anti-agers such as hydrators and antioxidants.

  1. Use Products Containing Vitamin C

Vitamin C- containing skin care products tone the skin several ways:

  1. Antioxidant protection: Vitamin C protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals, which can contribute to an uneven skin tone.
  1. Brightening: Vitamin C inhibits the production of melanin, helps brighten the skin and reduces hyperpigmentation.
  1. Collagen stimulation: Vitamin C promotes the production of collagen which helps improve the skin’s overall health and appearance.

Revercel products formulated with vitamin C include CE Serum, Triple Duty Plus SPF 35+ and Skin Brightening Lotion. Try them!

  1. Use An Exfoliator

Exfoliators remove dead skin cells to improve the overall appearance of the skin and reduce the development of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.  By removing the top layer of dead skin cells, exfoliation allows other skin care products to penetrate more effectively and work more efficiently, resulting in a more even skin tone. It's important to use exfoliators gently and not overdo it; excessive exfoliation can irritate and even worsen skin tone.

Try Perfect Glycolic Treatments 15%  or 25% , Mint Facial Polish, Green Enzyme Peel  or our new Perfect Glycolic Gel Cleanser  All effectively exfoliate and promote cell turnover for brighter, more even skin.

  1. Use A Brightener Formulated With Clinically Proven Ingredients

Skin brightening products help reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, lightening and brightening the skin. It's important to carefully choose your skin-brightener, making sure it contains clinically proven, physician-strength ingredients.  Some skin-brightening products on the market actually contain harmful ingredients that can irritate the skin.

Consider trying Skin Brightening Lotion. This powerful product is formulated with vitamin C and wonderfully effective extracts (licorice, green tea, apple, orange, willow bark, bearberry and daisy flower) to gently and effectively brighten the skin.

  1. Use An Effective Toner

Toners help the skin in several ways:

  1. Balancing skin pH: Toners help restore the skin's pH which can become imbalanced due to environmental pollutants and irritating skin care products. A balanced pH helps improve the overall health and appearance of the skin, including its tone.
  1. Brightening effect: Some toners contain ingredients such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, or vitamin C, which help brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, leading to a more even skin tone.
  1. Prepping skin for other products: Toners help remove any remaining traces of dirt, oil, and makeup, allowing other skin care products to better penetrate the skin and enhance their effectiveness.

Revercel has two wonderful toners for you to consider.  Clear-ifying Toner contains glycolic and salicylic acids to exfoliate and unclog pores.  Aloe and chamomile soothe the skin.  Sensitive Skin Toner is formulated with cucumber and fruit extracts to gently remove impurities from the skin’s surface, leaving it smooth and refreshed.
